Through the Playful Eyes of Elliott Erwitt

Elliott Erwitt is one of the greatest legends of street photography. The retrospective Through the Playful Eyes of Elliott Erwitt features more than 100 photographs spanning seven decades. It includes iconic portraits of Marilyn Monroe, John F Kennedy, and Jackie Kennedy from the time when Erwitt was the Kennedy family’s personal photographer, but also everyday moments, humorous situations, and perhaps his most beloved subject: dogs. With warmth, precision, and a keen sense of humanity, Erwitt captures both the great moments of history and the small absurdities of life. Through the Playful Eyes of Elliott Erwitt is produced together with Magnum Photos and opens on February 13.
