Fotografiska is housed in Stockholm’s Royal Customs House (“Kungl. Tullhuset”) at Stadsgårdshamnen 22. Google Maps can sometimes send you the wrong way! Take the temporary steps down from Slussen and follow the footpath along the waterfront. From Slussen, there is also a blue line painted on the ground that you can follow all the way to Fotografiska.
(NB: The Söderberg steps are no longer in operation. If you are coming from Katarinavägen, please go either via Slussen or take Folkungagatan to the waterfront.)
BY SL PUBLIC TRANSPORT & ON FOOT
Take the metro (Red or Green Line) to Slussen or the bus to Södermalmstorg. Then take the temporary steps down from Slussen and follow the footpath for a pleasant 800m walk beside the water.
Since August 19 2025, there is a new temporary bus terminal between Fotografiska and Stadsgårdsterminalen, for buses to and from Nacka and Värmdö.
BY BOAT
All summer long, our electric boat runs back and forth between Nybrokajen, Fotografiska, and the Royal Palace. Enjoy Stockholm’s finest view and hop off right outside our entrance.
More info & timetableBY CAR
We have a designated parking space for individuals with reduced mobility at the front of the building, along with a limited number of parking spaces at the back of Fotografiska's entrance (only those with Fotografiska signs). If these are occupied, the closest alternative is the parking at the Viking Terminal.
BY BICYCLE & ELECTRIC SCOOTER
There are good cycle paths that lead directly to us. We have plenty of cycle racks right outside the entrance.
