Artist Talk: Tobias Regell

Listen to one of Sweden's most significant portrait photographers, Tobias Regell

collage

Welcome to an in-depth conversation with photographer Tobias Regell and curator Marina Kereklidou, in connection with the exhibition Du såg mig med orädda ögon at Fotografiska. We meet an artist who, for decades, has captured the confidence of being seen – and the moments when people reveal their innermost selves.

‘For over thirty years, I have followed people with my camera as a mirror, seeking the encounter in the image, the moment when someone dares to be themselves. Du såg mig med orädda ögon is a tribute to presence and the confidence to truly be seen,’ says Tobias Regell.

After the talk, there will be an opportunity to have the book Du såg mig med orädda ögon signed by Tobias Regell – a collection that accompanies the exhibition and the portraits that have made him one of Sweden's most significant photographers.
