Do you want to learn more about Cindy Sherman's art and gain insights on how to develop your own photographic skills and creative career as a young creator?
Together with Tjejland, we have created a full day at Fotografiska with an in-depth look at Cindy Sherman's art, a workshop with professional photographers, lunch and an after-party where we will be boosted with opportunities for career development in the world of photography.
Participants during the day:
Petra Stenvall-Thompson is the founder of TjejLand and curates this workshop. Inspired by the phenomenon of the syjunta where women in the 20th century gathered to socialize and create, the platform TjejLand similarly wants to be a place to gather around and be inspired by the works of female photographers worldwide. Petra will give an introduction to TjejLand, printing her own photographic magazine and also discuss opportunities for career development in the world of photography.
Juliana (Wiklund) Wolf Garcindo is Fotografiska's guide and photography teacher with over 30 years of experience as a professional photographer. Juliana will guide the group through Cindy Sherman's exhibition Tapestries, focusing on questions about how we see ourselves both in self-portraits/selfies and images taken by others.
In the afternoon, she will share her technique for getting models to feel relaxed and make them think that photography is something exciting and interesting instead of something scary and difficult, amongst other things.
Jessica Wikström is a Fujifilm X ambassador and works with portrait photography in her own studio in Linköping. She specializes in cinematic portraits, fine art and headshots and will show her technique and also go through how she works with flash.
