A unique opportunity to develop your photographic project together with one of Sweden’s most influential photographers. Over two intensive days, you’ll receive personal guidance from Tobias Regell, gain exclusive insight into his creative process – and have the chance to present your work at Fotografiska.

Course Structure

Day 1 – Studio Session

Location: Tobias Regell’s studio, Stockholm

We begin the course with a visit to Tobias Regell’s studio – a space rarely opened to group sessions. Here, Tobias will walk you through his creative process, his choice of visual language, and working methods. You’ll present your project, discuss ideas, and receive personal feedback to help you deepen and develop your series of images.

Focus areas:

- Defining the purpose of your project
- Identifying its visual and narrative strengths
- Guidance on how to prepare for Day Two

Day 2 - Project Development

Location: Fotografiska, Stockholm

The second day is dedicated to refining and presenting your project in a professional setting. Under Tobias’s guidance, you’ll work on image selection, sequencing, and expression, and have the opportunity to print selected photographs. Together with the group, you’ll create a small physical installation to be showcased at the end of the day.

Evening Presentation on the Bar Stage:

The course concludes with a relaxed evening presentation at Fotografiska’s bar stage. Each participant will briefly and effectively present and show parts of their project. A fun and inspiring opportunity to see how the projects have evolved during the course and to receive feedback from both the group and an audience in an informal setting.

Who Is This Course For?

This course is for anyone who wants to take their photographic project to the next level – whether it’s an ongoing series or an idea you want to explore. You aim to deepen your expression, work more with sequencing and storytelling in your images, and receive personal feedback from one of Sweden’s leading photographers.

You should have basic knowledge of camera and visual language, but you don’t need prior experience in creating a finished project – the course will guide you all the way, from idea to physical presentation.

All materials needed for printing and installation are included.

- Personal guidance from Tobias Regell to develop your project and visual style

- Practical tips on image selection, sequencing, and building a cohesive series
