TCK Talks - Shepard Fairey
TCK Talks - Shepard Fairey in conversation with Nikki Sherridan
Fotografiska and Third Culture Kids presents TCK Talks: a series of interactive talks by young artists, all of whom identify as Third Culture Kids.
The first of three in the TCK Talks series at Fotografiska will be an in-person conversation between world-renowned artist Shepard Fairey, whose artworks have become icons of the fight against social, environmental, and civil injustice, and Nikki Sheridan, a young artist based in Stockholm, whose satire-styled artworks enlighten her Gen-Z audience with social criticism.
This conversation promises to be a fascinating exchange of ideas, exploring how art can influence and reflect societal change. It will delve into the unique approaches each artist takes in their work, the challenges they face, and the impact of their messages across different generations.
About TCK Talks
TCK Talks is a collaboration between Fotografiska and Third Culture Kids to celebrate the Shepard Fairey Exhibition and to offer visitors an unprecedented opportunity to explore street art, the artists behind it and the impact of art-ivism.
We meet in a shared vision of creating space for participation and access to art and its institutions.
TCK Talks is built around the theme of ART-ivism on which the invited artists reflect. The theme brings to light how the arts can redress inequities, reflect the voices of all and push society forward.
