On October 23, internationally acclaimed photographer Diana Markosian returns to Fotografiska with her new exhibition Father, a deeply personal project exploring separation, absence, and reunion. As a child, she left Moscow alongside her mother and brother to start a new life in the United States. Her father remained in Moscow and disappeared from the family pictures, literally, as her mother cut him out of every photograph.

In the exhibition, Markosian shares the story of reuniting with her father as an adult and how they hesitantly and falteringly rebuild their relationship, using the camera as a bridge. The result is an emotionally charged exhibition about memory, loss, and the longing for belonging.
