The Fifth Exhibition

At Fotografiska, food has always been more than a pause in the experience, it’s a natural extension of the art. At the top of the building, overlooking one of Stockholm’s most iconic views, you’ll find our award-winning restaurant: a destination for seasonal fine dining where the kitchen pushes boundaries and lets the ingredients of the moment lead the way.

The Fifth Exhibition is our culinary concept, where the menu shifts just like an exhibition. Each period brings a new theme and a new narrative, exploring ingredients, techniques, and ideas with the same playfulness and precision as the art on the walls. This is where sustainable gastronomy meets creative cooking, and where every menu becomes a reason to return.

Our food follows the rhythm of Fotografiska itself: ever-changing, surprising, and always open to new perspectives. Whether you’re seeking a unique dining experience in Stockholm, a seasonal tasting journey, or a dinner that elevates your museum visit, we want you to leave inspired.

Here, food becomes the fifth exhibition. An invitation to taste, feel, and discover.

Oceans Harvest

In our Restaurant, we cook in rhythm with the seasons, and each menu revolves around a theme. Right now, we’re diving into Oceans Harvest, a journey through the flavors of the sea, where each dish tells its own story. Shellfish, fish, seaweed – and a few unexpected notes from the deep blue.

The menu can be made lactose- and gluten-free. For vegetarian, vegan, or other dietary preferences, reach out to us at restaurant.sto@fotografiska.com, and we’ll gladly share what we can offer within the current theme.

The Oceans Harvest theme will run until 20 December.

Upcoming themes

8 January–28 February 2026
Preservation: Preserving the past, tasting the future
Last season's fresh ingredients have been preserved, refined, pickled, jammed, fermented and canned – here, Fotografiska has preserved the very best of the past to create the magical taste of the future.

4 March–25 April
Cow: One cow at a time, please
This is our manifesto for sustainability and respect for raw ingredients. We work with the whole animal – from nose to tail – and see every cow as an opportunity to create taste experiences without waste. By taking responsibility for the entire chain, from producer to plate, we celebrate both craftsmanship and nature. It is food with meaning – one cow at a time.

29 April–13 June 2026
Plant bas
ed: No animals, no excuses
This is our promise to create taste experiences entirely without animal products – without compromise. We show that plant-based food can be just as creative, complex and enjoyable as traditional menus. It's about responsibility, innovation and inspiring a future where sustainability is a given. No animals, no excuses – just pure taste and care.

ABOUT THE RESTAURANT

In our award-winning restaurant, we offer conscious gastronomy according to season. Every element of every dish serves a purpose and tells a story. Every bite leaves an aftertaste to be proud of. Our desire to inspire a more conscious world permeates the whole of Fotografiska, and is of course reflected in our menu.

Follow our journey on social media or via our newsletter, where we share news and what's happening in the kitchen.
